Our Ancient roots are shamanism wherever we live and whatever sort of culture we have grown up in. It is our spiritual heritage. Look back far enough in time and all of us come from shamanistic cultures. Long before such recent understanding and knowledge of the wider universe using a variety of experiential ways and tools, which are just as applicable today
The shamanic journey, the trance-dance, the vision quest, the purifying ceremony of the sweat lodge, the Sacred Pipe Ceremony, these are ancient but eternally relevant ways to contact the timeless reality that exists parallel to and just out of sight of the world we so mistakenly call the “real world”. It is here in the everyday that we experience the reflections of who we are, of our actions, our deepest beliefs, our “dream”’, but it is in the non-manifest world of the spirit that the hidden causal interactions take place. Hidden, that is, until we begin to open the doors and “see” with an expanded vision, with the eyes of a Shaman.
Shamanism is like tapping into a vast fund of ancient timeless knowledge which can be practiced anywhere under any conditions. It is about helping us humans to heal the effects of past traumas, to live in an inner state of balance and harmony while dealing with the challenges and vicissitudes of life, to develop the best in ourselves no matter what comes our way, and it is about the quality of how we relate to each other and to the earth. All this is as important now as it ever has been or will be.
Shamanism is a worldview based on the belief that everything in the universe is connected and interdependent. It therefore involves a deep respect for the natural world and its ecosystem. It considers spiritual development to be the most important work we can accomplish and that the world of the spirit is all around us and can be readily and directly accessed by anyone, especially through shamanic rituals and ceremonies.
The fabric of life is woven between ordinary and non ordinary realities, our awareness for the must part is on the external, ordinary reality, magic and discovery, the potential for deep personal healing is when we enter the non ordinary reality, this is an altered state of consciousness (ASC) that has the ability to transport us into a world of the Shaman. In this world we encounter fragmented pieces id the self, power animals, the inner child, the disowned self, the sensual self, the magician, the trickster, e shadow, the Divine self and much so much more.
Tantric Shamanism (TS) embraces all of these aspects that must be explored from this beautiful inner space, the world of the Shaman; where you will be able to live in an extraordinary experience during the time of the training and own your experience as you will be able to anchor it in the physical world with dance, movement, touch, massage, experiential adventures, drumming, mask making and more. All of these in a safe environment where the Self will be first and foremost honored, a space that is sacred and where we will practice ritual. Tantric Shamanism will give you the exercises and experience that you can bring home with you. TS is about sharing life in a deep and personal way, is about saying “yes” to life and embracing it from a healed inner space, free from the chains, the limitations that are either cultural, family or self imposed. We learn to experience life in ecstasy and with an open heart of enjoyment of the new potential from within.
As we share this experience with others we reinforce that in ourselves making it more complete and solid. Tantric Shamanism will give you the tools to unlock your potential, inner transformation is available as we learn to walk between worlds, as you learn the tools of the Shaman.
If you are an individual that wants to share with others, if you are in the Healing path either professionally or not, if you practice any type of healing technique; then you deserve to be completely clear and free so you can share from this totality with others. With your family, friends, your clients and vibrationally with the world;
If you want to make the world a better place for you and the ones that are coming behind you in the future, then you must start or continue with the Self.
So What Is Tantra?
There is a huge misconception of what Tantra is in the western world, many people think that Tantra is free, wild uninhibited sex, these may come from way back in the 60’s where free love and sex was advocated. For others Tantra is an obscure religion or cult based on the Kama Sutra, a Hindu sex manual that has survived for over a millennium.
The word Tantra is Sanskrit, the sacred language of Hinduism. It derives from the root word “tan”, which translates as to expand, continue, extend, spread or manifest”. Tantra is about expansion, is about spreading and going beyond the limits of the self is about becoming more in all aspects, is about doing more consciously so we can have more. More of whatever we want!
Tantra is a mystical subject and as it is with must mysticism is very difficult to explain or define. Tantra is a multifaceted spiritual practice that is also mystical in nature one that will help us define our relation between the world; and ourselves; From this the inner connection between the world of the Shaman and ordinary reality of the self.
Tantra is deeply connected with the earth, Gaya the mother, feminine nature one that gives birth to all there is in the physical realty. By embracing Tantra we become more connected with the earth and its spirits, we become more real, more complete and centered. By Trance Dancing we stimulate all aspects of the self, the primal and the sensual, we discover parts of ourselves that are normally hidden in the subconscious, parts that are repressed and need to emerge to the light.
When Tantric energy is released it comes from our first Chakra and the Kundalini is awaken as this energy moves upwards toward the crown, there to experience a deep connection with nature and the Divine. Here we can learn to use this energy for pleasure, for practical uses in creating what we want in life and more importantly for our spiritual upliftment.
Tantra is about the duality of the self, the masculine and feminine aspects that we all embody, and these aspects we share everyday with others and more intimately with our beloved. If we practice Tantra we enter a dance with our partner the dance of Shiva and Shakti, the god and the goddess this can lead to dialog, exploration and exercises some of these of intimate nature that may include sexual secrets as well as other wonderful self discovery exercises about the self.
Osho simply says that “Tantra is a way of embracing life with a big YES”, and not negating life in any way. Tantra is about embracing life in totality free from pain and limitations, with an open heart that is willing to receive all...
Pleasure, joy, pain, love, passion, compassion and to learn from each one of these aspects to be more real and free.
